What is single origin coffee?

Single origin coffee comes from one country, and often one region or estate, rather than a blend of several. That's why each one tastes distinct. Each product page tells you where the coffee is from, how it was processed and what to expect in the cup. If you're weighing them up, read single origin coffee vs blends.

Our coffees

Which grind?

Choose Whole Bean if you grind at home, since whole beans stay fresh longest. Otherwise we grind to order for Espresso, Pour Over or French Press.

Can't decide?

Try the Taster Trio: our House Roast plus two single origins of your choice, 3 x 250g. Or compare two side by side in Brazilian vs Colombian coffee.

Subscribe and save

Every coffee here (not the Taster Trio) is also available as a coffee subscription: 12.5% off every 2 weeks or 10% off every month. Skip, pause or cancel any time.

Every bag is freshly roasted by our certified B Corp speciality roasting partner and sent by courier or Royal Mail, with free UK delivery on coffee orders of £30 or more.

FAQs

Is single origin coffee better than a blend?
It depends on what you like. A single origin shows the character of one place, while a blend combines several. Our guide single origin vs blends explains when to choose each.

Which coffee is best for espresso?
Any of them can be ground for espresso. Each product page has an espresso recipe (18g of coffee to about 36g out in 25–30 seconds). See the best coffee beans for espresso.

How fresh is it?
Always freshly roasted, and dispatched within 1–2 working days of your order, so it arrives ready to brew.
